Al, Jason and Tim flew to Sebring, Florida to attend the Annual Light Sport Expo.  While not working with the Tecnam folks, Al, Jason and Tim took the time to investigate the latest in light sport.  Come hear about their trip at the Chili day on February 9th.

December 15, 2007

100 hour – CSP’s new Sport Cruiser reached its 100 hour in less than one month.  The stylish looks, easy handling characteristics and outstanding performance has quickly made this a crowd pleaser.  Come see what all the excitement is about!

May 13, 2007 - Chuck Wilson has joined the Chesapeake Sport Pilot staff.  Chuck is one of the most experienced instructors in the area with over 15,000 hours.  We are very excited to have him on board!

May 11, 2007 – Tim Adelman flew down to Indiantown, Florida to pick up the new SportCruiser.  The trip took 12 hour due to the fact that tropical depression Andrea provided 40 kts headwinds for most of the trip home and because of significant deviations that were required to avoid smoke from fires in northern Florida .  Tim made the trip with only two stops, a true testament to the comfort and range of the SportCruiser.

April 10, 2007 - Staff Sergeant John Borders was awarded the Able Flight scholarship.  Hopefully we will see him in the air soon!

April 9, 2007 - Helen Woods has signed on as a flight instructor and manager with Chesapeake Sport Pilot.  Helen brings a wealth on knowledge to the flight school. She is available full-time for flight instruction.

April 3, 2007 - Bob Wright takes Sgt. Bowman for a intro flight in the Sky Arrow.  Sgt. Bowman is a finalist for the Able Flight disability scholarship.  This scholarship is awarded to a disabled person so they can learn to fly.  According to Bob, Sgt. Bowman flew the plane well and his prosthetic limb was not a problem.

March 28, 2007 - Bob Wright joins Chesapeake Sport Pilot's team of flight instructors.  Bob, a local Annapolis resident, is available for instruction.

March 26, 2007 - AOPA Pilot magazine features the Sky Arrow 600 Sport on the cover.  Tim Adelman is mentioned in the article.  At the time he was volunteering with the Sheriffs' Association of Texas' Aviation Technology Program. Now, Tim is a program manager for the Aviation Technology Program.

February 10, 2007 - Tim Adelman picked up the Sky Arrow in Atlanta Georgia.  The 6.4 hour flight back to Maryland was a pleasant trip despite temperatures in lows 20s.  At last, a sport plane in the Baltimore/Washington area available for rent!
